How did the on-the-run slave and abolitionist Frederick Douglass make his way to Belfast and what did he do in the city. A new tour has been created by Professor Christine Kinealy of Quinnipiac University and retraces his steps and the many influential people he met including the inspirational Mary Ann McCracken.

Enjoy and share the story of Frederick Douglass in Belfast and we hope to make it there in person.

Many thanks to all those that have supported this great initiative and a special thanks to the Áras Uí Chonghaile | James Connolly Visitor Centre. A full video of the tour launch can be viewed on the Féile an Phobail YouTube Channel
