Racist Mob Riots in Dublin.

It has been a traumatic twenty-four hours in Dublin.

Yesterday afternoon a man attacked a group of children with a knife injuring three and a teacher. The suspect is under guard in hospital; is believed to be in his late 40s and is a naturalized Irish citizen. The police are examining a motive for the attack.

The man was disarmed by a passing Brazilian Deliveroo rider Caio Benício (43).

Speaking to the Irish Times he said, “I slowed down my motorcycle to see what was going on. And then I saw the man pulling a knife. When I saw the knife, I stopped my motorcycle.

“I used my helmet as a weapon to stop him. He fell to the ground.

“I don’t know if he passed out after that. There was a lot of screaming. I didn’t hear a word from him, nothing. But he seemed to have mental health problems,” he said.

Mr. Benício has been hailed a hero for tackling the armed attacker.

Later that evening far right agitators took to the streets to attack the police, loot shops, and burn public transport.

Thirty-four arrests were made throughout the night. Today Dublin remains quiet.

Sinn Fein President, Mary Lou McDonald took to social media to call out those involved saying, “Our community has been traumatized twice: by the barbaric knife attack on young children and their teacher, and then by marauding racist mobs who ran riot on our streets. Our community does not feel safe - Has not felt safe for some time now. This must change.”
