It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Freedom Rider and Civil Rights Activist Earnest "Rip" Patton.

Mr. Patton took time out with other veteran activists to meet Gerry Adams In Nashville. Civil Rights leaders in the US inspired many to take a stand against injustices around the world.

They inspired the Irish Civil Rights Movement of which Gerry Adams was a member.

The fight against injustice and discrimination does not stop at borders or recognize boundaries. It unites those who fight for equality, justice, and the rights of all.

Rest in Power Earnest “Rip” Patton.
