Did you know 100 years ago, Belfast was larger, more economically important, and wealthier than Dublin. The North was the powerhouse of the Irish Economy. It now lags behind the rest of Ireland on all economic indicators.


What happened? Partition! Within 10 years of the border being imposed the North became reliant on a subvention from Britain.


The economic potential of the north and the rest of Ireland has never been realized.


But how to turn this around, what are the economic challenges and opportunity of Unity. 100 years of economic separation cannot be undone over night but a more prosperous United Ireland is possible.
