“You Cannot Treat the Good Friday Agreement with a Cavalier Attitude” Rep. Richard Neal

This week Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA) and co-chair of the Congressional Friends of Ireland Caucus was interviewed on Irish TV.

He called on the Unionists to return to government and for the British Government to abide by their agreements in Ireland and the EU.

On legacy, he reiterated the position in support of Resolution 888 and against the British Government’s proposals to end investigations and continue their cover-up.

The US stands by the Good Friday Agreement, it has delivered peace and it is the way forward. Agreements made must be agreements honored.
